Dan Bell

Saturday night was Dan Bell's 5 hour set.

At inciting hq.

originator of minimal techno

the composition of social relations

the steps outside were covered in groups of people

the dance floor - about 17 sq feet - a small space 

with two adjacent smaller rooms for relaxing

people always talk over the music

sometimes the sounds were so clean you can washed away in them

sometimes you know lots of people in the room and everyone is loving the music

it's great to look around and have that feeling 

sometimes you don't want to talk you just want to listen and dance

or just listen

everyone faces the dj

a few candy like smiley faced ravers dance bigger and act out more they are super fun to smile at / with

it was blue lighting

with a blue laser up on a wall to the right of the dance floor making a line across it

i signed katelyn's get better book. she walked for the first time since the accident that day

i had people sign my sketchbook as i am soon to retire from parties

or do something different with parties

i left for a couple hours to rest and then came back around 7 am

i collected water bottles. the place was messy. two guys anthony and michael started helping me.  i felt a little paranoid by this point in time. i was uncomfortable but determined to do my work.  i collected the water bottles for my project and they collected the bottles for recycling. justin was surprised the place got cleaned up so quick

i talked to dan bell. i asked him do you think techno is post-apocalyptic? he answered sometimes. i asked him about the possibility of the dome in detroit. it seemed like a possibility. he asked me why we built a dome inside inciting. i answered to create an environment for the party.
