How do you document your art work and present it? What would you want to see if you are the viewer?
I'm doing research to figure out how to present documentation of my art work (installation, video performance, events) in different contexts. In the course of the research I found a new website for Hannah Wilke.
http://www.hannahwilke.com
if you go to "stills" page, close to the bottom of the page, the image for "Hannah Wilke: Gum Face Drawing, 1977" is so similar to a video I did during my first semester of grad school, no wonder it was recommended that I look into her. It's been really difficult to find her work online. I had found one of her videos I think on ubu.com where she plays with face like it's clay.
here's a segment of a remix part of my video "color and lines". the kidney bean shapes are formed from the negative space of a head /shoulder shot from another video "deep thoughts - sometimes i cry"
