life is great

i'm going to participate in bread and puppet's dance troupe in philly and i can't wait. i want to make events and videos like this and i get to be in one too that someone else is organizing. and Peter Schumann, Bread & Puppet’s founder, worked with people from Merce Cunningham's studio. and i love john cage and merce cunningham. i just got a documentary on them that's wonderful. i want to watch it thru to the end soon.

it's exciting for me because one of the ideas i had for plastic fantastic was that i could build it anywhere in a week with the right kind of help. so i wouldn't need to bring all the bottles or the dome. i'd find someone with a dome and visit the recycling plant. and get people together to make the project. peter schumann's doing the same, finding the people resources he needs to make the dance in the town that he tours the show.

it's interesting to see where different artists' trajectories have taken them.

this week i want to join the Second Vermont Republic. i heart radicalism in art.
