well it seems with all this work getting done the vacation has long been over. i'm just in paradise doing the work.

i have to cook my own food too. which i've been doing for the most part. was nice to have a kitchen again after a week without. beans and rice have been a staple. for lunches i've been making this corn tortilla dish that i had when i was on the caribbean coast. it's super simple but feels luxurious. heat three small tortillas, top each with black beans. make a little salad of lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, cilantro and sprouts mixed with some light ceasar dressing. give each tortilla some salad mix and you have the best lunch ever.

the black beans i've been making from a dry bag too. i've done it three times and i think this last batch is the best.

my new favorite thing to do is to cut words out of colored paper and tape them on to another piece of color paper.
