In 2009 I finished my first fun-a-day project. I made a water bottle puppet a day and shot some video along the way of them. A cute gathering of them are sitting sitting by a camp fire of LED lights in my studio.
This year I'm going to do fun-a-day again. I was going to focus on a performance artist like gaga, or some of her inspirations that i found in this blogpost which i found on c-monster, or a video performance artist from around the world, but after reading the artblahg (really a shameful addiction, i know... ) I've decided that I will focus on the performance of manifestos and their writers, starting with Valerie Solanas.
As some background, for my MFA process paper in 2008, I wrote a manifesto for Plastic Fantastic. In 2009 I inadvertently created a new personal one in the form of a sketchbook at my residency which I read everyday, and the above image is an excerpt.

You need to see a Doc about your problems. Take men out of the equation and you would be nowhere in your career. But we do see here that you get help from other tribes as well as the amazons. Be truthful, it's the first step to recovery. Oh yeah. The smart people, also known as the elites purposely pit small groups against each other. It's an old tactic used by the wealthy forever and with great success. They are the ones keeping you down and yes many of them are men. But your fellow "have-not" male artists are not. Get a clue.
