Progress

Sometimes I fail to recognize that I have made progress. 9 years in Philadelphia after deciding to pursue the artist dream, I think things are making sense. That was a nice realization to have today.

I was looking at my blog on myspace where I coyishly started blogging once a week back in 2005 .. woh that's kind of crazy, that's like 5 years of writing on the internet to friends... anyway.. I liked when I posted photos of artists work that was inspiring. I'm going to start doing that more and writing properly about work I see / experience .

In the meantime, this website rules as a resource for artists Chicago Artists Resource and I hope to get more involved with it and do something in Philly. My first step is to compile a list of organizations / groups to invite to a presentation about the site by one of the co-founders.

Did I tell you I loved Chicago when I was there? It was really good. a little cold, mostly awesome.

My current art crush is on Theaster Gates. I saw him speak on a panel at CAA.
